Interview

What was your first job as a journalist?

My first job in journalism was with the FanSided platform, where I wrote for a blog about Manchester United and another blog covering the Miami Dolphins.

Have you ever used a typewriter?

no

Who's your favorite fictional journalist?

My favorite fictional journalist is Ray Barone from Everybody Loves Raymond. Even though the show is a comedy, I’ve always found it cool that he’s a sportswriter—covering games, writing columns, and turning his passion for sports into a career. It showed me early on that you can actually make a living writing about the games you love.

What does it mean to be a journalist?

It’s been my dream since I was a kid, and it's the passion I want to pursue for the rest of my life. Whether it's on a TV show or through writing, journalism represents a major part of who I am.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

I use the internet, always checking with three sources to ensure it's accurate. I also gather information through contacts I personally seek out, and trying to reach out to the key figures involved in the news.

What's your favorite social network?

WhatsApp

Who do you wish followed you?

I'd like to be followed by experts in sports writing so I can connect with them, as well as by recruiters for websites where I can grow and expand my writing across more platforms on the internet.

Why did you become a journalist?

I became a journalist to express my opinion about the sports I love. But more than anything, to stay close to them and make the sports I’m passionate about a part of my daily life.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

My highschool didn't had a newspaper

What's the worst pitch you ever got?

Writing about NFL six out of seven days a week, 11 hours a day, but with a miserable salary

What's your favorite drink?

Mate, an Argentinian drink. However, Coca Cola is also up there

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

Watching a game of a sport I enjoy on TV, playing soccer with friends, or having mate with my family discussing the latest news about Boca Juniors, the club we support.

Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?

My favourite publications to read are: La Nación, Infobae, Olé, Clarín, Phinphanatic and TN
