What does it mean to be a journalist?
A journalist, a photographer will tell the People the truth. Whether it is published or not is out of our hands.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
I usually do the pitching and the final answer is up to the publisher. Other than that, everyone has a story to tell. I'd rather work a beat.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
My brain, training, a telephone or similar communication device, a computer and a camera or video recording device. And a tape recorder.

Why did you become a journalist?
I wanted to help people. I thought the world needed saving. It turns out that Joan of Arc had that slot sewed up already.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
No.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I am proud of every news article I have ever filed.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Every news reporter should adhere to our ethical guidelines. People depend on you to tell the truth (as it is told to you & what you find).

I do the pitching!
