What was your first job as a journalist?
I was a contributing writer to the now defunct Street Khemistry where I covered the modern happenings of hip-hop class acts.
Have you ever used a typewriter?
Yes. My father owned one. On weekends, I used to play with it really using it, thinking it was a toy. Little did I know, it was a tool.
Who's your favorite fictional journalist?
Vivian from the Netflix show Inventing Anna.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
To provide relevant accurate andreliable information to a local, national,or global populace to aid in their abilityto function in a free society.

Why did you become a journalist?
I became a journalist after witnessing a void in hip-hop journalists that specialized in hip-hop history.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
No. However, I am the founder of Old School Hip-Hop Lust on Tumblr. This was the infancy of my career in journalism.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
The piece I am currently working on. I've been waiting to delve into this topic since I embarked on my journalism career.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Make it your duty to be as ethical as possible.
