Inchcape Philippines, the exclusive distributor of Changan vehicles in the country, was honored at the 2025 Changan Automobile Overseas Partner Conference held in Chongqing, China. On April 21, 2025, Changan Philippines received the Excellence in Parts Operation award, distinguishing itself as one of the top performers in spare parts distribution per vehicle. The company surpassed its annual target by an impressive 163 percent.
The Changan brand is set to expand its presence across the country through a strategic collaboration between Inchcape Philippines, the official distributor of Changan Auto, and Global Star Motors Corporation (GSMC). This partnership aims to establish additional dealerships, with GSMC planning to open six Changan showrooms in Cebu, Davao, Dumaguete, Tacloban, Tagbilaran, and Cagayan de Oro, catering to Changan owners in these regions.
The twists and turns of the road mimic what we’ve been seeing in 2023. A lot of things have changed over the course of the year, and it’s been quite a ride with new brands entering the market and making a splash, and others changing hands. Changan vehicles were formerly distributed by Changan Motor Philippines, Inc. (CMPI). Now, Changan International is moving forward with Inchcape Philippines.
