Force Motors Signs Pact With Road Ministry To Modernise Delhi-NCR Commercial Vehicle Fleet
Pune-based Force Motors said on Tuesday that it has signed an initial pact with the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH) to participate in the central government's commercial vehicle replacement scheme for Delhi-NCR. As a participant, the company will support implementation of the scheme through its authorised dealership network in the region and extend prescribed Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) benefits to eligible customers in line with scheme guidelines, Force Motors said.

The Delhi Cabinet on Monday cleared an electric vehicle policy, EV Policy 2.0, with an outlay of Rs 15,000 crore over the next four years to push electric mobility and curb vehicular pollution, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said. The policy is expected to take effect from 1 July. Gupta said the policy is central to Delhi's push to lead on electric mobility, with the BJP-led government targeting 95 per cent of all new vehicle registrations in the capital being electric by 2027.
Castrol, Tata Motors Join Hands To Advance Used Oil Circularity
Tata Motors, a major commercial vehicle manufacturer and Castrol India, a key player in advanced automotive and industrial lubricant technology, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to jointly introduce a pilot programme for used oil circularity ecosystem. Under this MoU, the two companies will build a traceable system for collecting, storing and channelising used engine oil from Tata Motors' authorised service network in Karnataka.

India's auto ancillary industry closed FY26 with a 12.5 per cent year-on-year rise in revenue, driven by stronger volumes across vehicle segments and a more favourable product mix, according to a report by Elara Capital, cited by ANI. The brokerage's study, which covered 59 listed auto component manufacturers, found that absolute EBITDA climbed 13.3 per cent during the year, even as the sector's overall operating margin held steady at 13.6 per cent.

Bajaj Auto Hit By Ransomware Attack, Initiates Mitigation Measures
Bajaj Auto on Tuesday disclosed that it faced a ransomware attack earlier in the day that impacted its systems as well as those of its wholly owned subsidiary, Bajaj Auto Technology Limited (BATL). In a regulatory filing, the two-wheeler and three-wheeler major said the incident occurred on 23 June at around 8:00 am. The company added that its technical teams, working alongside external cyber security experts and senior management, moved quickly to contain the breach.
