What was your first job as a journalist?
My first official gig was writing about the NFL for The Sporting News, which was such a thrill and really helped me find my voice as a writer!
Who's your favorite fictional journalist?
Probably Andie Anderson from How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days! It's one of my favorite movies, and I love her quest to write a "meaningful" story while navigating the chaos of her own love life.
Why did you become a journalist?
I’ve always been driven by the need to understand the "why" behind the headlines and connect the dots in a way that makes complex stories accessible.
When's the best time to pitch you?
I’m generally most responsive and ready to dive into new topics early in the week, specifically on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. That’s usually when I have the most headspace to dig into a good pitch and really engage with the ideas you’re bringing to the table!
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Probably playing/making music or hiking!
