1.Introduction
I am Isack Dickson Lukumay, an award-winning Tanzanian journalist and multimedia content producer with over seven years of experience dedicated to reporting at the intersection of Climate Justice, Livelihoods, Good Governance, and Gender Equality.
Currently serving as the Chief Editor and Lead Producer at Orkonerei FM-one of the nation’s key community stations.
-My mission is to elevate the voices of marginalized communities, particularly pastoralists and smallholder farmers, whose lives are disproportionately affected by climate shocks and governance failures. My reporting moves beyond conventional coverage to catalyze real-world policy action and connect local struggles to the broader international discourse on resilience and transparency.

Good Governance & Water Access: My investigative report on Simanjiro’s worsening water crisis exposed governance failures and directly catalyzed government intervention in 2024, significantly improving access to clean water for thousands of residents in the Lorokare and Oljoro wards.
Livelihoods & Land Rights: I have reported extensively on the impact of conservation policies on local communities, critically examining land tenure laws and the socio-economic realities of wildlife corridors (such as the Kwakuchinja Corridor and Burunge villages in Babati).
Gender Equality: My reporting on women’s participation in local governance and the issue of early child marriage has helped shift community dialogues, increasing awareness of gender-based injustices and fueling advocacy for policy reform.
