Fabio Wardley is the rich man's Deontay Wilder
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by It's Ovah, . Lots of similarities between these two: - limited amateur experience (none to speak of really for Wardley) - late start to the sport (20 for Wilder, 21 for Wardley) - crude unorthodox style made up for with unwavering self-belief and KO power - crazy near 100% knockout ratio Main difference is how quickly they've been brought along.
Who did Marvin Hagler Call the Hardest Puncher He Ever Fought?
Discussion in 'Classic Boxing Forum' started by The Undefeated Lachbuster, . I've looked this up a million times, never finding anything other than the odd interview where Hagler says it was his mother. But it'd really be good info to know. My Father SWEARS by the fact that Hagler once confessed to him that it was Mugabi. Anyone here know anything on the subject? Last edited: William Walker and The Malibu Mauler like this.
Joseph Obey Joyce vs Anthony Victor James Yoka
Joyce should overwhelm him easily, Yoka just sits there and takes punches, but in my opinion he's more shot than people realize. Yoka might actually win this just by being tall and using the ring. Joyce is so shot that it might come down to that
Should there be a asterisk on Bivols ’win’ against Beterbiev

Daniel Dubois vs Agit Kabayel
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by TheWizard, . Won't happen next, but I think this would be a phenomenal matchup. Kabayel really impressed me yesterday. Great work rate, body punching and a fantastic chin. Dubois himself has a great work rate, but also fast feet and a ramrod jab, unlike Zhang. And more power than Kabayel. I think I'd slightly favour Dubois to stop Kabayel, but it's too close to call. Can see either man breaking the other down. Kabayel by one sided knockout to the body again.
Jared Anderson: Future World Champion?
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by iamthegreatest, . Views on Anderson? He's probably a couple fights away from competing at world level/top 10 contenders. Unbeaten, 15 wins with 14 KOs. Can he go on to become a World Champion? USA have been crying out for someone to dominate the heavyweight division like they used to in the 90s with Tyson and Holyfield. What is Jared's level and how far can he go? He will, if Joshua could be the champion, then so can Anderson. sasto and Salty Dog like this.
Agit Kabayel vs Zhilei Zhang
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by MarkusFlorez99, . Kabayel on points. He's hugely underrated. Zhang by KO until I see a little more from Kabayel. I'm not sure how he'd handle those deceptive shots and brutal power. Your name or email address: Do you already have an account? No, create an account now. Yes, my password is: Stay logged in

Does Prime Wilder beat Parker and zhang?
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by sppedboy22, . How does prime wilder fare vs Parker and zhang? Gets UDed and KOed again. DoubleG95Fanatic and pugilista like this. The same. Any top 10 fighter would be able to deal with Wilder's style and poor skills. All they have to do is avoid that telegraphed right hand. If a 41-year-old Zhang with stamina issues can do it, so can anyone else in the top 10, easily. Wilder never beat anyone who was top 10, not even close.
(CURRENT) Zhilei Zhang vs. (CURRENT) Daniel Dubois
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Boxingiq2020, . I think Zhang batters him. Dubois has had a resurgence of late, and I've done a bit of a U-turn on him, but I still think stylistically Zhang has the measure of him and would land his power shots often enough to get the stoppage. mods please don't ban him if that happens. He deserves to live through the consequences.
Inoue vs Nery gets the highest number of views in Amazon Prime for Japan
Amazon Prime Video, which exclusively streamed the four world title matches including Inoue vs. Nery, announced on the 7th that "Prime Video Presents Live Boxing 8" achieved the highest peak viewership in the history of Japanese Prime Video. The scene where Inoue knocked out Nery recorded the highest peak viewership. This surpassed last year's fifth World Baseball Classic (WBC) final between Japan and the United States, which previously held the record for the highest peak viewership.
If they were naturally the same size who would win Inoue or Tank?
Inoue would beat him so bad that Tank would proceed to change his name and religion again, maybe his gender as well.
Is Inoue’s success due to him or his opposition?
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Austinboxing, . Inoue is the biggest name below Featherweight. Infact he may be the only big name below featherweight as his opposition are always massively inferior to him. The question then becomes is Inoue the best because he’s perfected the sport or is it because his opposition is just very poor? Bonus question: would Inoue still be great if he was bigger and had to fight people like Crawford or Canelo?
If they match Wardley vs Bakole in 5v5
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by iceferg, . Who takes it. Wardley is dangerous but I think he's too hittable. I still think Clarke won that fight but I'm ok with a draw. If Bakole hits as hard as they say his power should get him over the line in this. Who do you think takes it. Wardley is very good but has two weaknesses. 1) He has poor defense 2) He would need to fight at least three times a year with quality boxers to gain experience.
Usyk on the fight with Fury: 'If he cancels the fight again, I will agree to fight any challenger.
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by CroBox29, . This means that his opponent will be Joshua. Hrgović is already contracted to fight as a replacement. MaccaveliMacc said: ↑ Hrgović is already contracted to fight as a replacement. Click to expand... That will not happen, everything is planned for Joshua to fight again, and if that happens, then I want Joshua to lose.

Winnable fights for Ngannou that actually interest you?
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by bluebird, . Can he beat an old Chisora? Helenius would probably be too much for him judging on AJ fights. Wallin too. He can beat Wilder. And that is a interesting fight for me, as i don't like Wilder. But that will hurt Boxing big time. As then Ngannou has a 100% legitimacy claim that he beated Fury and then Wilder. Chisora, Whyte or Wilder at the top of the chain. More winnable but less sellable: Washington, Martin, Arreola, Miller.
Does Fury - Ngannou prove anything?
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Levook, . An MMA fighter has his very first professional boxing match, and knocks down and almost beats the guy that is considered by many to be the greatest head-to-head heavyweight that ever lived. Does Ngannou's success prove that today's heavyweights are not nearly as good as in the past? Yes, and that MMA fighters (and kickboxers by extension) are no joke.
Better chin across career: Wach or Rudenko?
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by It's Ovah, . Both these guys have shown absolutely ridiculous ability to soak up punishment over the course of their careers, but who in your mind had the superior chin? Wach took huge shots off Wlad, Bakole, Povetkin, Miller, Whyte and has only really been seriously hurt by Makhmudov when way past his prime. Rudenko has taken shots off Zhang, Povetkin, Kabayel, Browne and was only hurt (to the body) by Kabayel and Anderson.
Who hits harder Andy Ruiz Jr vs Tyson Fury?
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Juan carlos, . I think Andy Ruiz Jr at his normal weight is strong enough to hurt Joshua or Ortiz... and Fury knocked out Wilder who has a good jaw by the way... what do you think? Ruiz is more dangerous in combination and more likely to stun you. Fury has harder single shots when he puts his weight into them, and more clubbing power. Wilder would get KTFO by them both.
[POLL] Do you still want Joshua-Wilder?
Yeah I’d still like to see it but not overly bothered if it doesn’t happen anymore after last weekend. Wilder clearly isn’t the fighter he was made out to be.
Why do so many boxers convert to Islam?

PistonHondai said: ↑ Haney and now Gervanta Davis This content is protected Click to expand... Dwight Braxton became a Muslim then change his name to Dewight Qawi. Can't think of too many others off the top of my head. They heard the Saudi's are paying out and will do whatever is necessary Soon everyone will convert to the one true religion of Fury anyway.
AJ vs. Fury, who wins?
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by GotchaHat, . Now that AJ vs. Wilder is not happening, AJ vs. Fury looks more likely for 2024. Who takes it? I don’t know what Fury got left. I want Fury to win. Fury of old wins. Fury KOs AJ. Wallin was a pathetic opponent, who put in a pathetic effort vs AJ. He looked and fought like a postman. Joshua smashes Fury to bits, as the Wallin fight shows. Log in with Facebook Log in with Twitter Your name or email address: Do you already have an account?

The heavyweight division is filled with nothing but Primo Carnera's
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Boxerboxer222, . I think people vastly overrate how much of an advantage size actually is, I get that people are under the impression if you're 6'5 240lbs you're suddenly unstoppable to someone who is 6ft 200lbs but history has shown that this isn't the case.
Parker will get robbed
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by GotchaHat, . Parker will outbox him and Wilder will try to lands bombs and when he can’t get him out of there they will rob Parker on the cards to setup wilder vs AJ GotchaHat said: ↑ Parker will outbox him and Wilder will try to lands bombs and when he can’t get him out of there they will rob Parker on the cards to setup wilder vs AJ Click to expand... Evander Holyfield vs Oleksandr Usyk at cruiserweight.

Did Fury perform bad to get Usyk?
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by GotchaHat, . To fight him and be complacent. Usyk was previously saying that he needed more time and can’t make dec 23rd, but after Ngannou fight he wants to fight him then. Fury did this before with poor performances against Tom Hanks and Otto Wallin and then Wilder took the fight and got destroyed. No, he performed bad because he's shyte. If Fury knocked Ngannou out in 1 round, Usyk won’t take the fight and neither would AJ.
How Bad is Furys Resume?

Is Fury still in your top five heavies?
I mean, 80%-90% of the world feels he just lost to a guy making his pro depute. His fans are trying to sell that he did not take the fight seriously and did not train. Could be. Could also be that at 35, cocaine, alcoholism, PEDs and obesity, along with a few hard fights, have taken their toll, and he just will never be the same fighter again. Or, the truth could be somewhere in between.

Was Gassiev the most overrated active heavyweight?
BubblesUK said: ↑ Everyone ages at some point. To answer the question directly... no, he's not the most overrated by a long shot. When you have threads asking whether Zhang beats ATG fighters, that's a whole different level of overrated. And then you have Wilder who to this day gets rated top 3 by most people, despite having a dreadful resume with his best win being over an aging gatekeeper with a threadbare resume (Ortiz) and even then he needed a little help from the ref...
Zhang acromegalic?
I think Zhang might have some mild form of acromegaly or I don't know - something like acromegalic kind of built. He just seems so much bigger than Joyce, despite being the same height - thicker bones, larger frame, so much stronger. It was really similar with Hrgovic, he was just able to box better so he survived. It still felt like both of them just couldn't hurt him, looked like teenagers with a man. It looks like this kind of built (also Valuev, Mariusz Wach) gives you graet chin.
Dillian Whyte vs Joe Joyce
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Joeywill, . At this point who do you got Joyce by grind down KO provided he hasn't had his chin and/or confidence totally shattered. The moment Joyce gets to jab, he is always game. Freddie Roach (I think) said that only suckers get hit with he right hand (as in, without being set-up through the jab.) Similar thing was said during a Maywather fight. You can't find him with a jab, you ain't finding him with nothing. Couldn't be more true regarding Joyce.
Joshua would spank Zhang's ass again if they fought
A reminder of what happened to Zhang the last time they clashed. Would Joshua pull the trick again against this comeback-Foreman level version of Zhang? Or does Sheldon give him the Big Bang treatment? My opinion is in the thread title, but what say you?
Andy Ruiz says nobody wants to fight him, is he the next Bogeyman of Heavyweight division?

Fury to retire in 2024
It's interesting to observe that others are now noticing the decline of the once larger-than-life figure who now seems to be spiralling downwards. He recently released a Netflix documentary, seemingly believing he could conquer the world without facing Usyk, but it's become abundantly clear that he was mistaken.
Arslanbek Makhmudov looks like he would break Deontay Wilders spine, and Furys neck.
