1 Introduction Chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) is a common condition affecting 3%–6% of the general population [1]. It is defined as the presence of two or more symptoms (≥ 12 weeks), one of which should be either nasal blockage/obstruction/congestion or nasal discharge, with/without facial pain or pressure, and with/without a reduction or loss of smell [2]. Historically, CRS is divided into CRS with (CRSwNP) and without nasal polyps (CRSsNP).
