Targeted degradation of CBP/p300 by CBPD-409 exhibits robust anti-myeloma activity
Epigenetic regulation is central to multiple myeloma (MM) pathogenesis. Among the most critical regulators are the histone acetyltransferases CREB‑binding protein (CBP) and p300, which act as transcriptional co‑activators that maintain MYC‑driven proliferation, IRF4‑dependent survival, and plasma cell identity [1].

RETIRED BUSES REBORN AS MOBILE FOOD MARKETS
Many communities are home to “food deserts,” or areas where grocery stores are inaccessible due to distance or cost. Food deserts can form because of deficits in public transit, high food prices, residents not owning vehicles or having limited mobility for various reasons, or other factors. Some areas, including Washington D.C., are lucky to have mobile food markets, which aim to alleviate this difficulty.

A BLANKET OVER US - 5 POEMS BY JULIA TRAVERS: Journal of Wild Culture
A batch of my poems appears with the Journal of Wild Culture in January, 2019. Editor Whitney Smith writes, Some writers reach into the dark and pull out things stirring in us we haven’t been able to grasp ourselves. Julia Travers has such an ability: to pluck the shadow and hold it up for inspection. For readers the result is not always victorious, but it nudges us to hold our little conquests, one by one, up to the light.

Lewis Rossignol: A Stress Relief
Illustrator Lewis Rossignol’s sketchbook-based body of work is an invitation to peer into someone else’s visually magnetic home and inner world. His characters, scenes and collages hover and linger, crawling, layered, beautiful and at times scrambled and bloody. The letters of text form scattered messages, broken whispers and compositional punctuation. Rossignol can clearly draw skillfully in a variety of styles and chooses to let his sketches wax organic.

Mid-infrared dispersive wave generation in gas-filled photonic crystal fibre by transient ionization-driven changes in dispersion
The underlying soliton–plasma interaction takes place in a noble-gas-filled kagomé-type ARR-PCF (36??m core diameter, 7?cm long), which is pumped by pulses of duration 27?fs and central wavelength 1030?nm, with energies up to 16??J and a repetition rate of 151?kHz (“Methods” section). When the fibre is filled with 4?bar of argon, the ZDP is located at 517?nm and the 1030?nm pump pulses lie in the anomalous dispersion region where they are subject to soliton dynamics.

GET TO THE BEACH - IT’S GOOD FOR YOU!
Many people are drawn to the places where the land meets the water. Our planet is over 70 percent water and our bodies over 60 percent, so feeling innately connected to this element kind of makes sense. The vast, moving bodies of water that we can encounter at beaches, cushioned by warm sandy beds, are particularly soothing to some. Scientists, sociologists and psychologists have long studied why. You may have heard that living near the coast is healthy.

Short Focus: Brighton Demerest-Smith
Why do you make art? I have been drawing and painting all my life. It is a part of who I am and has always been there. I paint objects because there is something incredibly meditative about making an everyday object that we take for granted seem like a big deal. It is the everyday and simple things that bring meaning and substance to our lives. I have returned to flowers many times because they are just pretty for the sake of being pretty.
