Ca 2+ influx through ER-plasma membrane contacts is required for brown fat thermogenesis and metabolic health
Abstract Brown adipose tissue (BAT) exhibits exceptional metabolic plasticity, rapidly increasing energy expenditure to sustain thermogenesis during cold exposure. This high metabolic activity imposes substantial demands on cellular systems, requiring robust adaptive mechanisms to maintain homeostasis and prevent cellular stress. Yet, the pathways that support and coordinate these adaptive responses in brown adipocytes remain incompletely understood.

Surface Reorganization Engineering of the N Dopant MoS2 Construction Heterostructures MoOx@N-doped MoS2-x by in-situ Electrochemical Oxidation Activated for an Efficient Oxygen Evolution Reaction Extensive experiments demonstrate that molybdenum disulfide-based catalysts have excellent performance in hydrogen evolution, while little research has been reported on the oxygen evolution reaction of molybdenum disulfide-based catalysts.
Nitrogen-doped Highly Dense but Porous Carbon Microsphere with Ultrahigh Volumetric Capacitance and Rate Capability for Supercapacitors
To achieve both high gravimetric capacitance and high packing density, balancing two seemingly incompatible characteristics, a porous microstructure and a high density of carbon electrodes is crucial to the realization of high volumetric capacitance performance. But it has proved to be very challenging to achieve.

High oxygen-reduction activity and durability of nitrogen and sulfur dual doped porous carbon microspheres
Nitrogen and sulfur co-doped monodisperse carbon microspheres (NS-CMSs) have been successfully synthesized as a new kind of outstanding metal-free ORR catalysts through a one-pot solvothermal reaction. The as-synthesized heteroatomsdoped CMSs have been systematically characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Raman spectra, nitrogen adsorption edesorption, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS).
