Over the years, Jabari has held several leadership roles, including Director of Operations at Jamira Tennis Center, Managing Director at the Philadelphia Tennis Club, and Racquets Professional and Pickleball Coordinator at Lancaster Country Club, recognized as one of America’s Top 30 Platinum Clubs. His work combines athletic experience with leadership and mentorship, helping players and communities grow together.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, he learned early the importance of discipline, connection, and perseverance. Those values, instilled during his early training, continue to shape his leadership approach. His focus on collaboration and steady growth has strengthened programs in tennis and pickleball, ensuring that every participant finds both challenge and support on their journey.
Jabari began playing at the age of five, spending time with his sister, Emira, at the Arthur Ashe Youth and Tennis Center. Encouraged by their father, they trained at a private facility he built for them, which later became the Jamira Tennis Center. Under his direction, the center evolved into a cornerstone of Philadelphia’s racquet community, offering a diverse range of programs for adults, juniors, and competitive players. His hands-on instruction and player-focused philosophy helped shape a strong base for participation and development.
While earning a degree in Business Administration and Finance at George Washington University, Jabari played Division I tennis, gaining experience that refined his focus, discipline, and leadership skills. Following his collegiate years, he joined the ATP and ITF circuits, competing in more than 20 countries. This international exposure deepened his understanding of training systems and shaped the coaching frameworks he later implemented in his professional roles.
Now at Lancaster Country Club, Jabari applies that global insight to cultivate excellence through coaching and community engagement.
