Jabi Shriki’s Biography
Jabi Shriki is a leading figure in diagnostic radiology with a career spanning more than twenty years. He has primarily focused on advancing medical imaging and enhancing patient care. Based in Eugene, Oregon, he holds dual citizenship in Canada and the United States, which has enriched his professional path with diverse perspectives.
Born in Toronto, Canada, on October 11, 1973, Jabi was deeply influenced by his family’s longstanding dedication to healthcare, sparking his passion for medicine from a young age. He pursued his medical studies at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio, Texas, where he received his MD in 2000. This education laid the groundwork for his specialization in diagnostic radiology, which deeply interested him.
Jabi’s extensive postgraduate training included a Transitional/Internal Medicine internship at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in Houston, completed in 2001. He continued his training with a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the University of California at Irvine Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident from 2004 to 2005. Following this, he completed fellowships in Body Imaging and Nuclear Medicine at the same institution in 2005 and 2006, respectively.
His professional career began in Los Angeles, California, as a staff radiologist at LAC + USC Medical Center and USC University Hospital from 2006 to 2010. During this time, he handled various radiological cases, enhancing his diagnostic capabilities.
In 2013, Jabi joined the VISN 20 VA Health Care System in Eugene, Oregon, as a staff radiologist. His dedication to improving healthcare for veterans is particularly evident in his work in lung cancer screening, a vital aspect of his role.
Jabi Shriki has contributed significantly to academia as an associate clinic professor in the Department of Radiology at the University of Washington since 2013.
