Wardley is a class act
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by JacK Rauber, . Just watched the press conference for the fight. I really like Fabio. I hope he can take out Dirty Dan. This content is protected Kiwi Casual, MayDayAfternoon, heerko koois and 1 other person like this. He is a nice fella. Too bad it won't be enough against the Dumbinator. Yeah I like Fabio a lot. I feel sorry for Dubois though.
Take Off The Rose Colored Glasses! Which Of The All Time Great Old Timers Get Massacred Today?
Look, I know most boxing fans love looking back fondly at the past and building the elders up into these mythological H2H undefeatable world beater beasts. But the reality is... the sport has evolved by leaps and bounds, in every possible metric. They've gotten almost everything down to an exact science, for better or worse. Across the board, the conditioning has improved, the nutrition has improved, most modern fighters utilize fine tuned diets tailored to their specific needs.
Justis Huni
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by JacK Rauber, . Why isn't Huni in the mix? He dominated Wardley for 9 rounds but got caught in the 10th for his only loss, but he's treated like he is a nobody. Bring him into the HW Sweepstakes. lol everyone seen his boxing skills. he out boxes 90% of heavyweights if you can't catch him on chin.. thats why hes being avoided. If Itauma hit Huni with that uppercut he hit Hrgovic with in the 5th, Huni would wake up in Narnia.
Alan Abel Chavez

Why are people talking like Shakur is better than Loma?
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by bluebird, . Heard it a lot now. 'Shakur is better than everyone Teo beat' . Is he though?? We’ll find out this Saturday. People always have recency bias. Loma is out of boxing so for many, out of sight, out of mind. Shakur couldn't lace Loma's boots. MidniteProwler said: ↑ Shakur couldn't lace Loma's boots. Click to expand...

Vergil Efrain Ortíz Jr. vs. Erickson Nick Lubin
Officially, it's still listed as Ortíz vs. TBA in a super welter 12-rounder co-featuring on the Madrimov vs. Crawford undercard in August - but the strong rumor is that Lubin will be the replacement for Timofei Konstantinovich Tszyu. Since losing to Sebastian Fundora two years ago, the Floridian southpaw fought twice last year and was victorious both times. Lubin is ranked top 5 by all four major orgs.
Benavidez, not Sheeraz should be the mandatory
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by JacK Rauber, . Canelo is ducking Benavidez again. Benavidez should be the mandatory. How does Sheeraz leapfrog Benavidez for a title fight against Canelo. Canelo is afraid of Benavidez. And for those of you who say, oh, the sanctioning bodies say Sheeraz, we all know that's BS, regardless of what they say. Benavidez will take out Canelo.
Canelo: Biggest Ducker/Cherry Picker of All Time?
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by JacK Rauber, . As Canelo prepares for his upcoming fight with Crawford, once again, even though he is now 34, he is going to fight Crawford, who will be 38 on fight night. He fought GGG when he was 35, 36 and 40. Alvarez was eight years younger, 27, 28, and 32. Ya he's ducked Benavidez incredibly shamelessly Your name or email address: Do you already have an account? No, create an account now. Truth: New Video on GGG-Canelo Fights
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by JacK Rauber, . This content is protected Agreed the first fight was egregious. I scored the first for GGG and second one barely for Canelo. Beterbiev vs. Bivol: Let's get it on the record
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by JacK Rauber, . The usual vacillating is going on. People are hedging their statements and bets. Therefore... Beterbiev by KO, in round ten. Beterbiev, 7th round TKO. Imo Beterbiev may be the worst style match up for Bivol in the divisions history. Bivol by 8-4/9-3 type decision. I don't think Beterbiev can do those things he did to past opponents, to Bivol. Bivol won't let him, because he is a master of keeping the distance, in and outs. Bivol by UD. Please.

We Forget who GGG's Toughest Opponent Was
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by JacK Rauber, . Ouma was tough and talented. He had a few losses going into the Golovkin fight but he was tough. Note what happened to Ouma's record following his fight with Golovkin. This is what happened to so many fighters before and after Golokin. He broke them. GGG took more punishment in this fight than in any other, but he prevailed and broke yet another fighter.
Anybody interested in a Joshua-Ruiz rubber match?
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by catchwtboxing, . Ruiz is back in August for a match against Jarell Miller, which will go down in the history books as one of the fattest matches ever, but probably be an easy win for Andy. Should he be successful, would anyone want to see a rubber with Joshua?
Morrell - Benavidez!
I truly have no idea who is going to win this fight. They both are outstanding fighters....
If Berlanga gets by Quigley...

Bivol: Has Canelo bitten off more than he can chew?
Boxing News 24 Forum Forums > Boxing > World Boxing Forum > Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by JacK Rauber, Apr 17, 2022 at 4:07 PM. JacK Rauber Try not to offend, try harder not to be offended I think he has. Bivol has been masterful in inflicting real damage against big, powerful opponents. I think Canelo is in for a long night. Rethinking GGG's Legacy ..
Boxing News 24 Forum Forums > Boxing > World Boxing Forum > Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by he grant, Nov 7, 2021 at 6:54 AM. With all the present day accolades bestowed on Canelo, who has proven himself to be a truly great fighter, I think it's time to rethink GGG. Many have written off as an over rated, second tier middleweight champion who built his reign in the shadows, below the radar, against limited opposition ..
The problem I have with Canelo
Boxing News 24 Forum Forums > Boxing > World Boxing Forum > Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by JacK Rauber, Nov 7, 2021 at 7:35 AM. JacK Rauber Try not to offend, try harder not to be offended Canelo has proven himself to be an incredible fighter, certainly better than I thought he was. Canelo's lip

Terence Crawford Finally Has Nowhere to Go
The entire boxing community is demanding for Twerp-ence Cryforit to shut up and take the 60/40 split (which he already barely deserves). Twerp-ence Cryforit thinks he's too good for that, though! Unfortunately for him, #1-ranked WBO contender Shawn Porter is knocking on his door for the WBO belt.
Garcia - Campbell on Saturday
Garcia, 22, 5'10", 70" reach, 29-15 as an amateur, no KO's, pro 20-0, 17 KOs Campbell, 33, 5'9", 71" reach, 66-16 as an amateur, no KO's, pro 20-3, 16 KOs Neither has been stopped. Campbell is fading a bit at 33. Had the tougher, more successful amateur background. Has taken more damage, though. He is definitely Garcia's toughest test to date. If not for the age and wear on Campbell I would give him the edge but Garcia could surprise.
130lbs. Super Featherweight/Junior Lightweight
I would love to see this division consolidated. There are so many good fights to be had here. Loma needs to drop down to fight at his more natural weight of 130. Stevenson, Berchelt, Diaz, Davis, Loma, Herring. Who do you think comes out on top when the dust settles? This content is protected

Boxing News 24 Forum Forums > Boxing > World Boxing Forum > Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Manfred, Oct 24, 2020 at 6:40 PM. Who you got. I honestly don't have a favorite in this one because I like both fighters, both have a great shot at the win so I can toss a coin. It's a choice between stamina and power. Does AJ pass the chin test from this video?
Rocked to his core by Whyte. Rocked to his core by Medzhidov. Rocked to his core and stopped by Nistor. Dropped like a sack of potatoes by Wlad. Shook up a few times by Povetkin. Rocked by and dropped several times by Ruiz. No, AJ doesn't have a good chin, however... he does have good fundamentals, and heavy hands, which are a hell of a deterrent, which prevents him from getting hit flush all that often.
Should Anyone Other Than Boxers be Admitted to the HOF
It irks me to see people like Jimmy Lennon, Jr. or Michael Buffer, or Teddy Atlas, Jim Gray and Al Bernstein being admitted. They are NOT fighters. They may contribute to the sport but since they are not fighters they shouldn't be admitted. Personally, I think it is a disgrace.
THE Fight You MOST Want to See Next
Personally, the one I would want to see the most is EITHER Canelo vs Beterbiev or Canelo vs Benavidez. If Canelo can defeat either of these guys he has...
Collard v Guajardo - Why We Watch Boxing
Some of us anyway. You had Guajardo, a 19-year-old undefeated fighter with a 5-0 record and 4 KOs, stepping into the ring against Collard, a 26-year-old journeyman with a 6-2-3 record, only 2 KOs and had been stopped once. Guajardo's team thought he would be an easy touch for their undefeated fighter.
DAZN and ESPN+ questions
I subscribe to both but there are a couple of problems I am having. The DAZN stream cuts out regularly, like every 5 minutes or so. Why would this be happening? I have a download rate of 50mps so it should not be a problem. It doesn't happen on any other app. Second, with ESPN+ I am unable to record the event so I either watch it live or not at all. I can't believe that is the way they have it set up. I use the ESPN app to access ESPN+. And you can't get the fight later.
17 year old welter weight last night
couple of thoughts on vito meilnicki. while it was only his third fight, the kid showed skill, power and maturity. knocked a 28 year old man out who had 10 fights worth of experience to his resume. think he has a future? also, that is some real bragging rights!
Canelo v Kovalev - wouldn't it be lovely if...
Kovalev put a stop to this hype show tonight. Canelo and his handlers have been pulling off shady arrangements and decisions because it is all about the money train. Can you envision how sweet it would be if the money train was derailed tonight? Sweet indeed. Go Kov.

Boxing News 24 Forum Forums > Boxing > World Boxing Forum > Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by TEAM_LOMA, Oct 5, 2019 at 10:16 PM. I think he seems like a great dude but GGG has looked a lot worse under his guidance . I just don't think he's a very good trainer at all. What are your thoughts? JacK Rauber likes this. GGG has deteriorated but it seemed like he didn't give any real advice in the corner as his strategy hardly changed to adapt to the fight. TEAM_LOMA likes this. I agree with you.

Not gonna say I liked the man, but he was a good villain.
Tiger Jack Fox, Remembering...
Gone but not forgotten. You talk about longevity and learning the trade as you go, over the years, there is no better example than Fox. Tragically, dead of a heart attack at 47. But look at his record. In 1932 alone, he fought 19 fights! Hard to imagine what kind of life these guys lived back then. This content is protected This content is protected
