What was your first job as a journalist?

My first experience gained as a journalist was with MMA UK, which led to the further experience gained.

Have you ever used a typewriter?

No, I have never used a typewriter.

How is social media changing news?

It's more accessible, has much more varied content, and provides more opportunities.

Who's your favorite fictional journalist?

In terms of fictional journalists from movies or TV shows, I would say Peter Parker.

What does it mean to be a journalist?

It means something that i thoroughly enjoy. A platform to reach out to the public and give them the best possible news, in a balanced way.

How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?

From a standpoint of how it could intrigue me. Which would then ensure that I provide the best article possible.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

I use WordPress to write many of my articles. I also use Grammarly to ensure that my work is as clear as possible.

What's your favorite social network?

Instagram, as i do the most work there with my account @RisingFoxes, or X as well, for news purposes and opinions.

Who do you wish followed you?

I would wish that Rob Tanner followed me, as he is one of the leading Leicester City journalists, and I enjoy his work for The Athletic.

Why did you become a journalist?

I have always had a deep passion and interest in sports. To be able to make my interests, a profession is a dream.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

I did, during Sixth Form (16-18 education). This allowed me to collaborate with others, work in a team and also learn from my peers.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

Altrincham FC's upcoming season is my proudest piece of work. This is because it was detailed, analytical and a subject important to me.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

I am also an aspiring journalist, but my advice is to gain as much experience as possible.

When's the best time to pitch you?

When a topic is fresh, so the best possible analysis can be provided and when most people are interested.

What's the best pitch you ever got?

As mentioned previously, I haven't had many pitches. However, the best one would need to be engaging and on a topic I'm interested in.

What's the worst pitch you ever got?

I have never necessarily had a negative pitch so far. This is because what I have wrote about has been my choice.

What's your favorite drink?

Fanta.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

Playing Football, at the gym, or at Sixth Form.

Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?

My favourite publication to read is anything from The Athletic as it is very detailed and comes from some of the best Journalists.

What's the most common misperception about your beat?

That analysis isn't intriguing. This could certainly be an argument in the modern day, with more eyes on the sport than ever.
