No, I consider myself a self-taught journalist, after graduating college.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Dream big. Follow the careers of journalists you admire, but know that no two paths are the same and pursue your specific passions.

Publicists have pitched me to interview major talents I admire: Tatiana Maslany, Gina Rodriguez, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Henry Winkler, more.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
The job is not all fabulous red carpet appearances and interviews with A-listers 100% of the time.
