Understanding the Fidelity and Specificity of DNA Polymerase I
Determination of the free energy landscape associated with the fidelity of DNA polymerase is critical to our understanding of the enzyme’s ability to discriminate between the correct and incorrect ligands. (18,27) Computational methods were previously utilized to investigate the free energies associated with the fidelity of similar DNA polymerases.
Hilma af Klint: Mystic Abstractionist
Born in Stockholm in 1862, Hilma af Klint was unknowingly one of the earliest abstract painters. Aside from being an artist, Klint was a practicing mystic, holding seances and channeling ancient spirits. Her occultist beliefs, particularly those of theosophy, formed the crux of her work. Her goal was to gain a spiritual unity by reconciling the duality of spiritual life and the material world. Spiral shapes recur in Klint’s work and symbolize progress toward this reconciliation.

HOA demanded "more green coverage" so I gave them ALL the green coverage...
*TL;DR: HOA harassed me about brown patch, so I seed bombed it with aggressive mint. Now mint has taken over the entire neighborhood and HOA can’t remove it due to their own rules.** So this happened last year but the mint is still spreading and the HOA is still losing their minds, so I figured you'd appreciate this. I live in one of those cookie-cutter suburban developments with an HOA that has nothing better to do than measure grass height and count dandelions.

As the camp predated the Final Solution, it was not always intended as a death camp.

What is Soft Lithography and How Does It Compare to 3D Printing?
Soft lithography creates three-dimensional patterns and structures at the microscale and nanoscale levels. Unlike photolithography, a fabrication technique used by the semiconductor industry, soft lithography produces microfluidic devices, microarrays, and microelectromechanical systems (MEMS). The “soft” in soft lithography refers to its use of mechanically soft materials such as polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) to produce a stamp or mold.
Re: Physician associates should not diagnose patients, says BMA guidance
Dear Editor The problem is that the genie is already out of the bottle. For whatever reason these roles have been rolled out and PAs are being put into medical rotas with questionable supervision. Trusts are desperately attempting to fill this posts and create a longer term workforce, which has been aided and abetted by some lax thinking in various Royal colleges.

A Brief History of Rosedale-Homewood Life Magazine Feature
When I began working on the Images of America: Homewood history book a few years ago, I thought the job would simply involve tracking down some old photos of Homewood and writing a brief summary about each of them. I failed to realize that the process would become less about the photos and more about the people that I had the opportunity to get to know. Almost four years later, I still keep in touch with many of these people that I now call friends.
