What does it mean to be a journalist?
It means you have a responsibility to get a story and get it right. It means you don’t sacrifice integrity for an agenda or money.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
A 6 year old Chromebook and my iPhone. Pen and paper are still in the mix, too.

Who do you wish followed you?
Being followed makes me feel uneasy.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
A story about an Ayahuasca church that was supposed to go to Vice, but ultimately fell into my lap.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
If you’re just getting started, stay open minded and be a good listener. People will open up like a flower, only if you’re authentic.
When's the best time to pitch you?
Anytime is a great time, like fishing.
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
A curve ball that hit me in the love handle.

Lately, coconut water.

Sailboat or Jiu-Jitsu mats
