I love sharing my experiences and perspective of the world through writing.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
There's no such thing as running out of ideas. Learning how to identify and develop story ideas will improve with time.

I like to plan my travels a year in advance, and usually have some idea of where I'll be going and what I'll be writing about.

What's the most common misperception about your beat?
That I'm on a permanent vacation; research trips are intense and activity-packed, with little time for R&R.
