Social media is today's police scanner. If you're a cop reporter, you have to listen in.

William Boot, although his editor Mr Salter deserves special mention for having no idea where Rekjavik is. "Jolly difficult."
What does it mean to be a journalist?
Having the guts to call it like it is, not like how you're supposed to call it.

Emails.

Handheld, obviously. Laptop. Battery chargers.

If I was ever one of those people who wrote family newsletters, I may never use Facebook. However, I am not.

Why did you become a journalist?
Because I love to write. And then came radio.
