To be a journalist is to watch the world with an open heart and curious mind. It is to see people as the authors of their lives.

I prefer to be emailed. I am most responsive. I often respond within 72 hours. I may take longer if I am on vacation.

Why did you become a journalist?
To remind the little girl in me who had her notebook and pen as her best friends that she can always keep writing and make new friends.

We didn't have a high school newspaper, unfortunately.

7 am to 10 am PST
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
One that is too long and makes me feel lost in understanding the main point of the pitch.

This depends on where I am in the country, but a Mojito will do just about anywhere.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
In the kitchen making and eating food. Working out to destress and get stronger, or taking a nap when I need a break.
