Have you ever used a typewriter?

How is social media changing news?
It makes news much more easily accessible, but this also means there is so much misinformation and fake news.
Who's your favorite fictional journalist?
Alice Sebold. I also love Enid Blyton.
What does it mean to be a journalist?

What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Social media, Contently, Grammarly, the voice tool on Word.
What's your favorite social network?

Who do you wish followed you?
It would be pretty cool if President Obama did!
Why did you become a journalist?
Because I love writing and I love traveling, so I can combine the two.

No
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
A profile I wrote on an amazing local chef.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Do online courses if you don't have the right experience, network, find writing groups on Facebook and don't give up.
When's the best time to pitch you?
Before I wake up so it's in my inbox when I open my computer.
What's the best pitch you ever got?
Inviting me on a 7-day boat trip around Panama.

I get so many pitches on things that are irrelevant to what I write about.
What's your favorite drink?
Gin and tonic
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Playing tennis, hanging out with my kids or walking my puppy.
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
