How is social media changing news?
It is bringing information to the public in a faster way. Sometimes that info can be credible, or non-credible...depending on the source.
Who's your favorite fictional journalist?
Kent Brockman from the Simpsons!
What does it mean to be a journalist?
Delivering factual, timely and thorough information to the public through various outlets so that everyone knows what is happening.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Computers, my cell phone, my Tascam voice recorder and Adobe Audition
What's your favorite social network?
Instagram because I love to take pictures of various things!
Why did you become a journalist?
To pursue a career in something I love. Sports and News are two major passions of mine and I have thoroughly enjoyed the experience so far.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I worked for my high school television station where I anchored the morning announcements!
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Always be a nice person to everyone you meet, even if they are not nice in return. One day, those moments could come back to help you.
What's your favorite drink?
Water
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Spending quality time outside with my friends and family.
