Jason Glatzer’s Biography

Jason Glatzer is a poker player, journalist, commentator, and content creator with over a decade of experience in the poker industry2. He is currently the CEO of poker.pro and resides in Vilnius, Lithuania

Jason Glatzer began playing poker in the 1980s and transitioned to online poker in the early 2000s. Before entering the poker world, Glatzer worked as a financial controller, dedicating 60-70 hours a week to his job while still finding 30-40 hours to play poker4. He graduated from Lehigh University with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from 1991-1995.

Glatzer's career in poker media began at PocketFives, leading to opportunities with PokerNews and other prominent poker media outlets. He has covered major poker events and contributed to various poker publications as a writer, editor, and live reporter. Glatzer has also worked as a poker commentator, host, organizer, podcaster, and media organizer.

Glatzer entered his first online poker tournament, a $5 limit Hold'em tournament, and won, which led him to take poker more seriously. In 2006, he moved to London and began playing live games again. He later participated in a World Series of Poker Circuit Event in Rozvadov, where he learned live reporting from Christian Zetzsche among others. Glatzer found his niche in recreational-minded events, focusing on player insights and the atmosphere.
