The "what I saw/smelt in CEX today" thread
#1 Okay, so people often mention in various threads the bargains (or otherwise) they've picked up in CEX - so why not help out a brother steelbook collector and tell them of your good fortune in here (and the ones you didn't fancy) - maybe a bit like this: 7th May Where: Cheltenham CEX What: Final Desination 5 £6 and Star Wars prequel trilogy £22 Did you buy them? No. Hope this comes in handy, if not I hope the mods destroy this thread with extreme prejudice.
The Blair Witch Reboot (TBC)
#1 It's been ten years since we were caught up in 'The Blair Witch Project' hype. My sister is still too scared to this day still to view the film!, so it did achieve a level off unmatched psychological marketing hype which no other horror film has come close i think. Whilst the first film was not scary as i had hoped, it did achieve the tension and scares without blood or violence, i think, unlike most horrors today, where gore/violence are almost mandatory.
Tim Burton‘s Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (6 September 2024) *** Trailer 2 added ***
"If we come up with nothing but **** then we're not going to do it. Beetlejuice, I think, is too important to too many people, myself included, and Tim, and Michael Keaton, to do a sequel just for the sake of it, because we'd think it would be commercial. It's one of my favourite movies of all time. I still have the original 1988 poster in my office, framed, above my desk. It was an important and seminal movie for me.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (28 June 2023) James Mangold
#1 Shia LaBeouf spoke to the BBC during Transformers junket, and commented that Steven Spielberg has cracked the story for the next movie and is gearing that up. Not to say that is a official announcement, as LaBeouf might has said too much with so few words. So should be be happy it's Spielberg who has cracked it and not George Lucas. Just leave the writing duties to someone else and not Lucas this time. And no Gophers I actually enjoyed the last outing, minus some bits, i liked the sci-fi angle.
