Jacob Evans’s Biography

I am a keen writer and journalist, with an unhealthy attachment to Ernest Hemingway, and a personal interest in human rights and environmental issues.

I currently work as an editorial intern at the World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers in Paris, where I report on issues relevant to the media industry, particularly freedom of the press issues.

I was the winner of The Storytellers competition In 2014, coordinated by Australian culture magazine Junkee. They sent me to Istanbul for five nights to report back with the most original story I could find. The finished piece is available below to read.
