Opinion | Hurd: If re-elected, I’ll represent this district faithfully, protect the western Colorado way of life and leave our communities stronger
I grew up in Grand Junction, and after building my career elsewhere, my wife Barbora and I made the decision more than a decade ago to come home to western Colorado and raise our family here. Before entering Congress, I spent much of my career working with rural electric cooperatives.
You have to see Western Colorado to understand it
There are some things you cannot understand from a briefing book in Washington. You can read how many acres a wildfire burned. You can look at a map of federal lands. You can review reports about rural economic development, Tribal communities or our national parks. Jeff Hurd But there is no substitute for showing up and seeing it for yourself.

Honoring the fallen while preparing for the fire season still ahead
In Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District, wildfire is a fact of life. Every summer, communities across Western and Southern Colorado prepare for the possibility that a single spark can threaten homes, businesses, public lands and lives. This year, that threat is already here. Communities across our district are responding to multiple active wildfires stretching from the Utah border to Southern Colorado.
Opinion | Hurd: If elected, I’ll advocate for rural Colorado’s energy, water, safety, economy and more in Congress
When I first ran for Congress, I made a simple commitment to the people of Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District: I would put our communities first and focus on solving problems. Too often, Washington, D.C. rewards political theater over results. Most people in western and southern Colorado are far less interested in partisan arguments than they are in whether their elected officials are addressing the challenges they face every day.

Congress has the power of the purse. It just doesn’t use it
The Constitution gives Congress the power of the purse. It is one of the legislature’s central responsibilities and one of the most important checks on the executive branch. Yet in modern Washington, Congress increasingly treats budgeting as an inconvenience rather than a duty. That abdication is not a mystery. It reflects incentives that reward delay, diffuse accountability, and replace deliberate governance with crisis management.

To redefine the eligibility for airport-related TIFIA projects, and for other purposes. (H.R. 6168)
A bill must be passed by both the House and Senate in identical form and then be signed by the President to become law. Bills numbers restart every two years. Known for our spectacular environment nestled in the Rocky Mountains, Colorado is the epitome of natural beauty in the United States. In addition to our iconic landscapes, though, Colorado is also an American energy powerhouse. More than anywhere, Colorado proves that we can have both a beautiful environment and a prosperous energy economy. Colorado ranks in the top 10 states for energy production, specifically when it comes to oil, natural gas and coal.
Hanson - The Underneath Experience - Live from The Danforth Music Hall
’90s Babies United for 2 Nights to Choir the Nostalgic Anthem “Mmmbop”, both in acoustic and full band. The Danforth opened its doors for 2 nights for a performance some of us have been waiting for the ’90s for. Whether it was the scent of a favorite childhood meal, a familiar place that holds memories, or even the sound of an old song playing on the radio, nostalgia was in the air.
Support for rule of law means respecting process
After Colorado’s Supreme Court ruled 4-3 that the 14th Amendment disqualified former President Trump from Colorado’s primary ballot, most politicians did what most politicians do: look at the result and then make a politically expedient knee-jerk reaction. A bit less predictable, and less encouraging, have been the number of legal scholars who seem to be doing the same.

What Is Agile? | Built In
Agile methodology revolves around creating prototypes that are performed in repeating cycles, with a priority on creating a usable product or feature rather than comprehensive documentation and multiple cycles of continuous customer interaction to improve the product. Agile is modeled after the Agile Manifesto, which includes a set of 12 principles and four values created in 2001. What is agile in simple terms?
What Is Continuous Delivery?
This allows developers to always have a deployment-ready build artifact that has already passed through testing. Continuous development is key to safely and quickly incorporating new features, bug fixes, experiments, and more. What is the purpose of continuous delivery? Continuous delivery ensures new features can be incorporated into production environments efficiently. Software is more in-demand than ever and continues to be produced at expanding rates.
What Is Beta Testing?
The purpose of beta testing is to uncover and eliminate any software bugs or errors in the product, as well as gather feedback and make improvements to the product, before its release to the general public. Often, beta testers will utilize the same hardware, networks and software that the product is intended to use upon release, with their interactions recorded to check for compatibility or experience issues. What is the purpose of a beta test?
What Is Multivariate Testing?
Products are composed of multiple components and features, with several elements that can be swapped in favor of features that deliver better results for the user and company. Multivariate testing allows these variables to be compared in order to determine which delivers an optimal experience for all parties. What is multivariate testing and how is it different from A/B testing?

What Is A/B Testing?
To do this, two segments of users are shown different variable versions to determine which one provides the best experience and has the largest positive impact on metrics. A/B testing is generally used to enhance website, software and product optimization processes, allowing developers to eliminate guesswork and focus on making the improvements backed by testing. Why do we do A/B testing?

Achieving Superprotonic Conduction in Metal-Organic Frameworks through Iterative Design Advances
Two complementary design strategies, isomorphous ligand replacement and heterocycle doping, have been applied to iteratively enhance the proton conductivity of a metal–organic framework, ?-PCMOF2. The resulting materials, PCMOF21/ (Pz) and PCMOF21/ (Tz) (Pz = 1H-pyrazole, Tz = 1H-1,2,4-triazole), have their proton conduction raised almost 2 orders of magnitude compared to ?-PCMOF2.
Comparative Effectiveness of Once-Weekly GLP-1 Receptor Agonists on 6-Month Glycemic Control and Weight Outcomes in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes
A retrospective cohort study was conducted in patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D) in an electronic medical record database to compare real-world, 6-month A1C and weight outcomes for exenatide QW (EQW) vs. dulaglutide and vs. albiglutide. The study included 2,133 EQW, 201 dulaglutide, and 131 albiglutide patients. Overall mean (SD) age was 60 (11) years and 54% were men; neither differed between comparison groups.
