Born and raised in New Jersey, Jeffrey "Jeff" Laino has spent his entire life in the Garden State. He hails from a family with a blend of cultural backgrounds, including Italian, Irish, German, and Swiss roots. This diverse heritage has influenced his worldview and approach to his personal and professional life, enabling him to navigate challenges with flexibility and resilience.
Jeff’s academic journey began in the local school system, where he attended Washington School for his elementary education and Westwood Junior High School. He later graduated from Bergen Catholic High School in 1999. After high school, he briefly attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst before transferring to Ramapo College of New Jersey. At Ramapo, he focused on information systems technology, which piqued his interest and offered significant potential for his future. During his time at Ramapo, his dedication to his studies earned him a place in the Delta Mu Delta National Honor Society, a recognition highlighting his academic achievements in business administration.
Jeff’s professional experience began in 1996 when he took on a role at The Rink in Montvale, NJ. There, he worked as a skate guard and party planner. His passion for hockey and event planning made him well-suited to this job. Over the next few years, he found the work enjoyable and rewarding, gaining valuable event coordination and customer service skills to serve him throughout his career.
In 1999, Jeff joined Architectural Window Manufacturing Corporation (AWMC), a family business founded by his grandfather. Initially, he worked on developing inventory management systems and part numbering schemes, but he expanded his role within the company over time. He integrated barcode systems into the business’s operations, helping to streamline inventory processes and improve overall efficiency. His growing technical expertise and deepening knowledge of the company’s operations positioned him as a key contributor to AWMC's continued success.
