How is social media changing news?
Social media will always force news teams to adapt to the ways people consume content. News will try to be more and more bite-sized.

What does it mean to be a journalist?
Giving people what they need to know to make informed decisions.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
Email. Do people still use that?
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
My Notes app on the iPhone is my best friend.
What's your favorite social network?
TikTok. The content on TikTok is "unpolished" by nature and that makes it a fun challenge to create content on the platform as a news outlet.

Why did you become a journalist?
I wanted to help tell stories.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I used to write recaps of our Friday night football games. We won the state championship three years in a row! (Go Norcross Blue Devils!)
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I helped cover the 2017 Las Vegas shooting for BuzzFeed News while I was on vacation there. Seeing the community come together was beautiful.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Do what you love and everything will come after.
When's the best time to pitch you?
Whenever! I'm on my phone right now.
What's the best pitch you ever got?
I would interview Will Arnett for the LEGO Movie 2, but we'd hold LEGO versions of ourselves and pretend that was the real interview.
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
There's no such thing as a bad pitch.
What's your favorite drink?
Ice cold water!
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
In bed playing my Nintendo Switch.

I'll read any publication with an exclusive. I know how hard those are to get!
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
As a video games journalist, we don't have enough time to play video games outside of work!
