Jennifer Savage is California Policy Associate Director for the Surfrider Foundation, where she leads coastal and ocean protection campaigns across California's 1,100-mile coastline. A communications expert with nearly two decades of experience spanning journalism, radio, and environmental advocacy, she has been quoted in Bloomberg, CalMatters, the San Francisco Chronicle, the Sacramento Bee, and other outlets on issues ranging from sea level rise and managed retreat to plastic pollution and beach access. She is the creator and original host of Protect & Enjoy, Surfrider's California coast and policy podcast, and a former co-host of the NEC's EcoNews Report on KHSU and Coastal Currents on KHUM. Previously, she served as North Coast Coordinator for the Ocean Conservancy, Coastal Programs Director for the Northcoast Environmental Center, and Policy and Communications Manager for California's Ocean Protection Council. She lives in Humboldt County.
