Via email is great. I'm also active on Facebook and Threads.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

Yes, I was co-editor of the sports section. I wrote a story about a fan of our hockey team, and he still sends me Christmas cards every year.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

My piece on crying for The Washington Post required me to dig deep into the research. The story led to revelations I didn't expect.

What's your favorite drink?

A vanilla latte. Pure perfection.

Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?

The New York Times Modern Love.
