Social media expedites how fast users can recieve and engage with the news, but it also makes misinformation much easier to spread.

Being a journalist means being committed to the truth and to transparency.

Why did you become a journalist?

Storytelling and relaying facts are lifelong passions of mine. Who knew I could do them as a job?!

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

I was a staff writer and a senior editor

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

I am most proud of writing a story that investigated the conditions at USC's architecture school.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Rejection is redirection.
