Long-awaited visit home
As the semester ends and the campus gets quiet, many of us are thinking about the same thing: going home. For an international student, finishing finals isn’t just about grades. It is the start of a countdown to see our families again. Living far away is hard. Even though we make friends and get used to life here, some things are impossible to replace. I really miss the simple moments, like having coffee with my mom or just talking with my dad.

The clock is already running out, even though it seems like we just returned to Crete after the break. To be honest, there is a stressful atmosphere on campus now. While half of us are worried about the summer, the other half are just trying to get by after the midterms. For my part, I still don’t know what I’m doing.
