Interfacial-Free-Water-Enhanced Mass Transfer to Boost Current Density of Hydrogen Evolution
Abstract Click to copy section linkSection link copied! The advancement of water electrolysis highlights the growing importance of electrolyzers capable of operating at high current densities, where mass transfer dynamics plays a crucial role. In the electrode reactions, the interfacial water is a key factor in regulating these dynamics. However, the potential of utilizing interfacial-free water (IFW) to modulate electrode behavior remains underexplored.
Extraction Of LiCl From Low‐Purity Chlorides Through Solid Electrolyte Towards High‐Purity Li2CO3 Production
Lithium carbonate (Li2CO3) plays a crucial role in advancing state-of-the-art lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) for efficient energy storage. The primary source of lithium is lithium-rich brines, which have complex compositions. Conventional extraction processes from brines involve cumbersome methods that often lead to emissions and/or large volumes of wastewater. To address these environmental challenges, a novel and eco-friendly lithium extraction process under ambient pressure is necessary.
A paint layer for high-rate and high-capacity solid-state lithium-metal batteries
A paint layer for high-rate and high-capacity solid-state lithium-metal batteries A flake-graphite paint layer, an electron/ion due-conductive framework, was prepared by spraying method and an improved interface contact between lithium-metal anode and garnet electrolyte is demonstrated. Experiments show that an distinguished decrease interface resistance, from 3062 ohm cm2 to 40 ohm cm2 is obtained.
Promoting a highly stable lithium metal anode by superficial alloying with an ultrathin indium sheet
Promoting a highly stable lithium metal anode by superficial alloying with an ultrathin indium sheet Bin Sun, jialiang Lang, kai liu, Naveed Hussain, Minghao Fang and Hui Wu Abstract Lithium dendrite growth remains one of the major hindrances for its practical application. Here we develop an ultrathin indium sheet to construct a stabilized lithium-rich hybrid anode with fast interfacial ion transport.

Ice Melting to Release Reactants in Solution Syntheses
Aqueous solution syntheses are mostly based on mixing two solutions with different reactants. It is shown that freezing one solution and melting it in another solution provides a new interesting strategy to mix chemicals and to significantly change the reaction kinetics and thermodynamics. For example, a precursor solution containing a certain concentration of AgNO was frozen and dropped into a reductive NaBH solution at about 0 °C. The ultra‐slow release of reactants was successfully achieved.
Ice Melting to Release Reactants in Solution Syntheses

AbstractLike icebergs slowly melting in the ocean, chemicals can be released to a solution reaction from a piece of ice, as described by B. Ge, L.-M. Liu, H. Wu et?al. in their Communication (DOI: 10.1002/anie.201711128). By this simple ice-melting process, nuclei formation and growth can be successfully suppressed.

Ice Melting to Release Reactants in Solution Syntheses
Aqueous solution syntheses have been investigated and widely applied, and these reactions are mostly based on mixing two solutions with different reactants. Here, we report that freezing one solution and melting it in the other solution provides a new interesting strategy to mix chemicals and to significantly change the reaction kinetics and thermodynamics, e.g. a precursor solution containing a certain concentration of AgNO3 was frozen and dropped into a reductive NaBH4 solution at ~ 0°C.
Surface graphited carbon scaffold enables simple and scalable fabrication of 3D composite lithium metal anode
Lithium metal is the most promising anode material due to its high specific capacity (~3860 mA h g-1) and low electrochemical potential (-3.04 V vs standard hydrogen electrode¬). However, lithium dendrite growth, low coulombic efficiency (CE) and the infinite relative volume change during lithium plating/striping cycles have severely limited its practical applications.
