Understanding Efflux‐Mediated Multidrug Resistance in Botrytis cinerea for Improved Management of Fungicide Resistance
1 Problem Statement Botrytis cinerea is a fungal pathogen that can infect more than 1400 plant species (Figure 1). It ranks as the second most important plant pathogen (Dean et al. 2012). Chemical control remains the most effective and efficient method in managing grey mould (Alzohairy et al. 2023). However, the development of resistance to different classes of fungicides by B. cinerea presents a significant threat to modern agriculture.
Magnesium‐Mediated Reductive Defluorinative Cross‐Electrophile Coupling of α‐Trifluoromethyl Styrenes with CO2 and Acyl Imidazoles
Gem-difluoroethylene moiety holds pivotal roles in drug research owing to its unique ability as a bioisostere of the carbonyl group. Here, magnesium-mediated reductive defluorinative cross-electrophile coupling of α-trifluoromethyl styrene with carbon-centered electrophiles was developed. This method featured readily accessible reagents, mild conditions, and wide substrate scope, enabling the efficient production of gem-difluoroallyl carboxylic acid and ketones.

Electrochemical Benzylic Deuteration of p-QMs Enabling the Synthesis of Benzylic Deuterated Diarylmethanes
Electrochemical Benzylic Deuteration of p-QMs Enabling the Synthesis of Benzylic Deuterated Diarylmethanes Herein, electroreductive umpolung benzylic deuteration of p-QMs using cheap and easily accessible D2O as a deuterium source was realized. Various value-added benzylic deuterated diarylmethanes can be synthesized without the requirement of noble metal catalysts, redox reagents, and strong bases.

1. Introduction The Fusarium oxysporum species complex includes widespread soil-borne and facultative parasites causing wilt or rot diseases in various plants. These diseases can result in significant annual crop losses globally. The complex is composed of 106 well-characterized formae speciales [1,2]. One particular member of the complex, Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cucumerinum (Foc), is responsible for causing Fusarium wilt of cucumber (Cucumis sativus).

Identifying optimal reference genes for the normalization of microRNA expression in cucumber under viral stress
Cucumber green mottle mosaic virus (CGMMV) is an economically important pathogen and causes significant reduction of both yield and quality of cucumber (Cucumis sativus). Currently, there were no satisfied strategies for controlling the disease. A better understanding of microRNA (miRNA) expression related to the regulation of plant-virus interactions and virus resistance would be of great assistance when developing control strategies for CGMMV.
