Undergraduate nursing students' clinical adaptation: a qualitative journey mapping study from student and clinical preceptor perspectives
Abstract Background: Clinical adaptation is shaped by students' readiness, precepting arrangements, patient responses, and ward conditions. Previous studies have usually examined student and preceptor experiences separately. This study aimed to explore undergraduate nursing students' adaptation to clinical practice from student and clinical preceptor perspectives and to identify key touchpoints, differences in focus, and support needs through journey mapping.
Rising Global Imbalances Underscore Need to Confront Domestic Distortions
Global current account balances increased further in 2025, driven primarily by China, where the current account surplus recorded the largest widening in at least two and a half decades. This was offset by some narrowing in the United States and the euro area. As our latest External Sector Report shows, China’s current account surplus increased by about $300 billion last year, the largest widening in absolute terms since at least 2000, to about 0.6 percent of world GDP.

Geo-Economic Fragmentation and the Future of Multilateralism
Abstract After several decades of increasing global economic integration, the world is facing the risk of policy-driven geoeconomic fragmentation (GEF). This note explores the ramifications. It identifies multiple channels through which the benefits of globalization were earlier transmitted, and along which, conversely, the costs of GEF are likely to fall, including trade, migration, capital flows, technology diffusion and the provision of global public goods.

The Uneven Path Ahead: The Effect Of Brexit On Different Sectors In The U.K. Economy
By Jiaqian Chen, Economist, IMF European Department The United Kingdom is set to leave the European Union in March 2019. Our research suggests that all likely Brexit outcomes will entail an economic cost for the UK, and these costs would be unevenly spread across different sectors and regions. The UK's membership in the EU means that the country enjoys a frictionless trade arrangement embodied in the EU single market and customs union.
The long-term impact of Brexit on the European Union
By Jiaqian Chen, Christian Ebeke, Li Lin, Haonan Qu, and Jesse Siminitz MON, AUGUST 13 2018-theG&BJournal-When the United Kingdom leaves the European Union, higher barriers to trade, capital flows, and labor mobility will affect output and jobs not only in the UK but also in the remaining 27 EU member states. Since Brexit means both parties will withdraw from a frictionless economic relationship, there will be costs on both sides, as our new study suggests.
