I am a PC user. I use Google Docs and Sheets for just about everything.

Why did you become a journalist?
I fell into it by accident but I've been a writer since I was a child. I love putting together service journalism pieces that help others.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
A story about how a Utah resort leaned into making the property hospitable for native bats for Bats Magazine.
When's the best time to pitch you?
Any time but I'm most organized earlier in the week and more likely to respond quickly.
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
A pitch sent by a baby product brand that addressed me as Natalie. Talk about not doing your homework!

An oaky Chardonnay

Outside.

What's the most common misperception about your beat?
That travel writing is easy and effortless and it's all about taking trips and having fun. There's definitely a less glamorous side!
