Have you ever used a typewriter?

Yes, but a long time ago (late 1990s when I was still in school).

What's your favorite social network?

Right now, BlueSky. Reminds me of Twitter before it became a cesspool.

Why did you become a journalist?

Specifically, a film critic, as I wanted to understand why I liked or disliked different films.

What's the most common misperception about your beat?

That film criticism is some sort of consumer recommendation instead of analysing a film's techniques, approach, and place in film history.
