Ground-Based Hyperspectral Retrieval of Soil Arsenic Concentration in Pingtan Island, China
4. Discussion 4.1. Mechanism Analysis of Soil Arsenic Concentration in Pingtan Island Research has shown that iron oxides have an impact on the spectral quantitative retrieval of soil heavy metals []. With an increase in iron oxide content or a higher ratio of iron oxide content to organic matter content, the stability and predictive ability of the retrieval model weaken, leading to the formation of absorption bands around 500 nm and 950 nm due to iron oxides.
