I am a disillusioned BCBA: Autistics are right about ABA
Editor’s note: As an publication, we have been critical of ABA therapy for autistic children. We have decided to publish this article written by a guest contributor, a non-autistic BCBA, because the content is relevant to our values and the emotional health of our autistic children. I have been a BCBA (board certified behavior analyst) for over 10 years. I was trained at a “great” ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) program, and I believed in ABA, just how I was trained.

From the boat race to Azerbaijani jails - how dirty gas sells itself to elites
The European Investment Bank (EIB) is at COP23, the UN climate talks in Bonn, talking about financing climate solutions. The Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) crosses highly fertile agricultural land in northeast Greece. We travelled to Greece in June to speak to farmers and residents about their protests and peaceful action to block the construction of the pipeline. “We were born in Filippi and we are going to die in Filippi but we can also die for Fllippi.
An open letter from an inmate of the Southern Gas Corridor
International investment in fossil fuel extraction is making me and other Azerbaijani political prisoners hostages to the Aliyev regime. Though respectful of the memory of Nelson Mandela, the mass media have occasionally shed light on the late South African leader’s warm relationship with scoundrels such as Muammar Qaddafi and Fidel Castro, as well as his refusal to defend Chinese dissidents.
Principles down the pipeline
This Tuesday, the World Bank approved two $400m loans to Azerbaijan and Turkey to fund the construction of the Turkish section of the Euro-Caspian Mega Pipeline pipeline called TANAP. Today, the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank is due to discuss another loan to TANAP. This comes a week after the Asian Development Bank (ADB) approved a controversial $1bn loan to the Azerbaijani gas field that will feed the pipeline.
