Homeowners often face the challenge of deciding what to do with a neglected section of a yard that doesn’t look as good as they’d like. Ever since the plants in Evanston’s Clark Street Beach Bird Sanctuary were planted in 2015, along the walking path from the beach entrance to Northwestern University’s Segal Visitors Center, volunteers have been working to enhance the main sections. But little attention was paid to the area just north of the Clark Street Beach House — and it showed.
