See all 12 answers →What was your first job as a journalist?
My first job as a journalist was as a news journalist specializing in the banking and financial sector. It was an exciting opportunity to delve into the intricate world of finance, covering breaking news, analyzing market trends, and deciphering complex economic concepts for a broader audience. This role allowed me to develop a deep understanding of the industry and hone my skills in investigative reporting and financial journalism.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
Being a journalist means expressing what people may struggle to articulate in real-time conversations. It's about giving voice to the unspoken, shining a light on untold stories, and amplifying the voices of those who may not have the platform to share their thoughts. As journalists, we inspire others who may not have the right words to articulate their experiences or perspectives, bridging gaps in understanding and fostering empathy and connection within our communities.
