Joe Baur’s Biography

Joe Baur is an award-winning Cleveland-based author, writer, and filmmaker who has worked for a variety of local and national publications. His work has appeared in Matador Network, Europe Up Close, DRAFT, and CNN to name a few. Travel, craft beer, adventure, politics, culture, and urban issues are just a handful of his favorite topics.

Joe writes a column at Article 3, covering international stories, urban issues and culture. He also updates his personal website, joebaur.com, with adventures from various trips across the globe.

In 2014, Joe's travel documentary "Modern Enlightenment" on Tibetan culture in exile premiered at the Human Rights Human Wrongs Film Festival in Oslo. Recently he completed "Through The Oberland," a three-minute cycling travelogue through Switzerland. Today he is working on completing "Riding The Ronde," an 11-minute travelogue on riding the Ronde van Vlaanderen in Belgium as well as a narrative travelogue on his two-weeks in Switzerland.
