The Worldview Implications of Pineapple on Pizza
In the current epoch of civilizational decline—marked by the erosion of objective standards in ethics, aesthetics, and yes, even gastronomy—it should come as no surprise that the Western world has lost its appetite for coherent, creationally-ordered food. Among the clearest, most troubling culinary artifacts of our decadence is the popularization of pineapple on pizza.
The 1700th Anniversary of Nicaea and its Relevance Today
The significance of the eventual triumph of the Nicene Council continues, not simply because of the basic Creed it formulated and its ongoing regular use in church liturgies, but because of its wider ecumenical protection against error in the global church. The clear affirmation of the Creed is that Christ is co-essential with the Father, the true God-man, and therefore Arianism is not genuine Christianity.
Romanticism and the Crisis of Authority
The Christian carries the privilege and responsibility of heralding the Good News of the Kingdom of God, revealed in history through Jesus Christ, the Creator and Redeemer of all things. By the power of the Holy Spirit, believers call people to repentance and invite them to enter God’s Kingdom. Yet, this task has grown more challenging in the West, where de-Christianization has steadily eroded the shared foundations necessary for understanding biblical truth.
Total Depravity & Social Order
A participant in a BBC Radio Four religious programme some years ago stated that the doctrine of total depravity no longer has any credence in the Church and that only a few religious sects now adhere to it. Her point is well taken. Indeed, we could go further than this. Few of those who do give assent to the doctrine understand it or recognise its implications either for soteriology or social theory.
The Kingdom of God and Sphere Sovereignty
In today’s world, the relationship between personal freedom and state power has grown increasingly complex and often contradictory.
Statism, Totalitarianism and the Sovereignty of God
From the Christian standpoint, there is no absolute power or authority for Parliament congress, civil governments, or monarchs. All authority is delegated, limited, and under God in the various God-ordained spheres of life.
Biblical, Creational Law
The contemporary humanistic faith in an evolving universe in Western society precludes any standard above or distinct from itself; this immediately implies that the law of the state (as a product of nature) is beyond criticism by any transcendent source of authority — for there can be no such thing as a transcendent source of authority and law. This means state law is inescapably totalitarian law. There is no right, realm of justice, nor source of law beyond or above what the state enacts.
Statism, Totalitarianism and the Sovereignty of God
One of the most remarkable features of the late-modern era has been the strange coalescence of an incessant call for ‘total emancipation’ from the shackles of alleged oppression with an explicit totalitarian drift in political life.
Studying our Times for Faithful Action: A Call to Stand Against the World
The man who is content to sit ignorantly by his own fireside, wrapped up in his own private affairs, and has no public eye for what is going on in the Church and the world, is a miserable patriot, and a poor style of Christian. Next to our Bibles and our own hearts, our Lord would have us study our own times. – J. C Ryle The ignorant firesides of privatized Christians are a sad reality that no era of the church has been entirely without.

From Fireside to Frontline: A Christian's Duty to Understand and Act
The man who is content to sit ignorantly by his own fireside, wrapped up in his own private affairs, and has no public eye for what is going on in the Church and the world, is a miserable patriot, and a poor style of Christian. Next to our Bibles and our own hearts, our Lord would have us study our own times. – J. C Ryle Idolatry, Folly, and the Natural Mind The ignorant firesides of privatized Christians are a sad reality that no era of the church has been entirely without.

Ezra Institute | Following Master Jesus
/ If we ask at the most basic level what Christianity is, if we are to be scriptural, we must answer that it consists in knowing and following Christ Jesus. He is the Master, and the disciple is not greater than his Master.

/ Topic Philosophy/Worldview In the Christian world-and-life-view, we cannot make progress in truth unless we understand ourselves and can answer the question, who am I? Ezra Institute | To Participate in the Beauty of the Cradle
/ Topic Art In one of my favorite editions of the Bible there are beautiful illustrations depicting magnificent biblical scenes reproduced from the original wood engravings of Gustave Doré (1832-1883).
