How is social media changing news?

Social media is making news instant. Lifting stories from social media is a full-time job. Increasing engagement; helps drive traffic.

What does it mean to be a journalist?

Being a journalist means various things. It means responsibility, it means giving people a voice, it means being able to make a difference.

What's your favorite social network?

Twitter for work. LinkedIn for networking.

Why did you become a journalist?

To combine my love of sport with my love for writing. I am interested in people and enjoy helping them put their stories into words.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

No, my vision in high school was to become a professional footballer which I achieved. My Journalism ambition came much later.

What's your favorite drink?

That cold bottle of beer after work, or after a round of golf, or on a sunbed somewhere warm.

Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?

I thoroughly enjoy The Athletic and the Times. Both filled with incredible sports writers. Always close the page feeling inspired.
