What was your first job as a journalist?
Staff writer for the NBA Daily, which was an internal newsletter for the league.

What does it mean to be a journalist?
Bringing truth and insight to readers.
Why did you become a journalist?
When I realized I wasn't good enough to play pro baseball, I figured covering games was the next best thing.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I did not.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
If you love what you are doing and you work hard, journalism is a rewarding career.
When's the best time to pitch you?
If it is by email, whenever.
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
I received a pitch that addressed me by the wrong name, had grammatical errors and the topic had nothing to do with what I covered.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Doing something with my kid.
