Wipe Your Ass With Pumpkin Spice. Literally.
I’m not a pumpkin spice guy. Never have been. Never will be. I worked at Starbucks for almost 7 years and never understood the appeal. BUT I’m not a pumpkin spice hater. Live and let live. However, this goes too far! DudeWipes (essentially baby wipes for men) has released “Dumpkin Spice Wipes” for this fall season.
From Econmics Major to Raptors Writer. How Will Lou Made The Leap.
From Econmics Major to Raptors Writer. How Will Lou Made The Leap. Will Lou has been one of the most prolific basketball writers in Toronto for the past 10 years. From grinding away with Raptors Republic to having The Raptors Show with Will Lou on Sportsnet he’s seen and done it all. In this conversation we talk hoops, making the jump from starting out wanting to be a Doctor to his career as a broadcaster covering the NBA’s only team north of the border.
NBA 2K Playground 2 - A Great Game At A Decent Price
I haven’t owned a modern video game system since Playstation 3. That was BC. Before Children. Back when I played Call of Duty and Batman Arkham whatever until the wee early morning hours. However, that all changed this past Christmas. My oldest is 7 and we got him (and me) a Nintendo Switch. I forgot how much I loved playing video games. All of a sudden I was downloading Tony Hawk and playing Pokemon Snap like I would when I was much younger.
Sexy Gritty Is Coming In 2024
The 2nd best mascot in all of professional sports (The Raptor is #1 don’t @ me) is getting its own calendar in 2024. As per DesignTaxi: The NHL team’s representative tells the media outlet that the world of calendars is “oversaturated” with furry animals and smoldering firefighters. The Gritty-starring calendar will pretty much have it all, covering “cute, furry, and sexy” elements. Some of the photos from the various photoshoots were posted on the official Gritty Instagram.
That Nerd Dad Interviews Dean Blundell
That Nerd Dad Interviews Dean Blundell Dean Blundell has been a busy guy recently jet-setting between Toronto, Vegas, and Portugal. He was nice enough to set aside some time to chat about the changes from deanblundell.com to Crier Media. I also ask him about the partnership with Benifca and ClancyWorld and finally, he gets really fired up talking about Trump. It’s classic Dean. Bald Canadian who didn’t play hockey until he was in his mid-thirties.
The Toopy and Binoo Movie. A Movie For Preschoolers And Nobody Else.
Toopy and Binoo are staples of the preschool entertainment landscape in Canada so it seems only fitting that they finally make their way to the big screen of your local cinema. But be warned, this movie is for preschoolers and nobody else. This past weekend on a whim I took a look to see what movies were out for kids and saw that Toopy and Binoo had a full-length animated film. It seemed like a decent idea for my family.
That Nerd Dad Plays With Himself
That Nerd Dad Plays With Himself In an act of stupidity and self-indulgence, I decided it would be a fun idea to interview myself. I had a few things happen to me recently that I wanted to share but also didn’t like the idea of just talking and sharing for 15min so in order to get around that, I used some modern-ish technology to interview myself. Bald Canadian who didn’t play hockey until he was in his mid-thirties. Die hard Raptors fan who proudly admits he wept when they won it all.
Is That A Pokemon In Your Pocket Or Are You Just Happy To See Me?
Maybe you don’t need to catch ALL of them. A brand new stuffie is available on the official Pokemon store and it certainly fits the description of a pocket monster. Between the appearance, the title including the words “wiggle” and “poke” and it measuring a whopping 10.25 inches there were A LOT of decisions that went into making this Pokemon stuffed animal as phallic looking as possible. Here’s what it’s so supposed to look like.
Justin Trudeau Troll Job. U Mad Bro?
This is perfection. After setting the internet on fire by wearing a pink shirt, (*clutches pearls*) Justin responded by going the opposite route and showing all the hillbillies who were upset why their wife thinks about him during coitus. And just check out the responses… I’m not a huge Justin fan but I am a fan of angering idiots and this troll job is so subtle that it makes me want to get a Justin sign for my lawn, and maybe a picture or two for the bedroom. FOUR MORE YEARS!

Her content relates to parents of younger school-aged children as she is currently navigating this stage of life. Bald Canadian who didn’t play hockey until he was in his mid-thirties. WTF? This AI Version Of Johnny Cash Singing Barbie Girl Will Blow Your Mind
The “There I Ruined It” YouTube Channel has to be one of the more underrated and under appreciated channels out there. The premise is simple enough, take classic songs and make them somehow catchy but also horrible. Enter, Johnny Cash singing “Barbie Girl” along with a compilation of other hit pop songs. Admit it, you want this on your playlist. But there’s also a MASSIVE underlying issue here and it has everything to do with A.I. I think this sounds passable as real.
This One Is Going To Hurt Your Childhood. Paul Reubans aka Pee-Wee Herman Is Dead At 70.
This One Is Going To Hurt Your Childhood. Paul Reubans aka Pee-Wee Herman Is Dead At 70. When I was a kid and some celebrity would pass away, I often wonder why it affected my parents (mom specifically). We didn’t know Princess Diana but there was Mom visibly shaken at the loss. As I get older, I get it. While you don’t know these people personally, there is most definitely an emotional attachment that is formed as they become a part of your life in some form or another.
NO WAY! Tupac's Ring Sold For A Ton Of Money!
Tupac has been in the news a lot recently. Last month I wrote about he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Then it came to light that there was news about his ongoing murder investigation. Now his custom-designed ring fetches a whopping MILLION dollars at auction. There’s no denying it’s an incredible piece of jewelry and has a tie to one of the greatest hip-hop artists ever. In my previous article, I wrote, Feels appropriate to ask it again.
That Nerd Dad Interviews Joel MacLeod
Just a couple of bald dudes talking about being bald, podcasting, and politics. Joel MacLeod is co-host of the 905er podcast and a former political staffer who worked for the Ontario Liberal Party and at Queen’s Park. He left that life to dive head-first into the fast-casual hospitality industry as an entrepreneur. He now works to help build brands for small and medium-sized businesses and not-for-profit organizations.
You Gotta See This! The Heinz Remix Machine.
Think back to the first time you saw a Coke-a-Cola Freestyle machine in the wild. You were probably at the movies and suddenly faced with endless possibilities. Did you pick Coke, Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Sprite or Rootbeer? With vanilla, raspberry, cherry, lime, or cherry vanilla? You probably panicked and just picked plain old Coke. (I’m a Coke with lime guy when given the option) Now picture yourself at your local fast-food restaurant being faced with up to 200 options for condiments.
The Island Boys Are Back And Are Big On Incest
Remember the Island Boys? For a moment in time, they were everywhere! Even our very own Dean Blundell was constantly playing their not-a-hit song on repeat. After this clip went insane viral their careers took off…sort of…They earned enough internet fame to be welcomed to UFC events, do cameos, and make a bit of money. Well, it seems Flyysoulja and Kodiyakredd have fallen on some hard times and started an OnlyFans account with just a smidge of incest, and get this, they don’t think it’s weird.
Nintendo Is Letting Hitler Play Mario Kart
Yesterday after a trip to the zoo in the morning my middle son, age 4, asked if we could play Mario Kart in space. This is his way of asking to play online against people worldwide because the waiting room for your characters appears to be standing on top of the world in outer space. Generally, Mario Kart is perfectly safe for kids of all ages. The chat functions are pre-set so there’s no fear of crude language.
Jamal Murray Is Not Happy About His NBA 2K Rating
The NBA 2K ratings are a big deal to NBA players. Almost all of them grew up playing 2K and one day dreamt about being in the game or gaining the ultimate achievement of being a cover athlete. So, when their ratings are announced yearly, some take it VERY personally. Enter Jamal Murray and his 84 Overall. Even Rex Chapman agrees and looking at his stats from last season it’s hard to understand why he would start so low.
That Nerd Dad Interviews Griff Bordignon
Griff Bordignon is Crier Media’s sports guy. He covers football, sports betting, and dabbles in everything else. During my chat with him, we talk his origin story and the Simpsons, because, why not. If you’re a fan of the work Griff does for us, you’ll love this chat. Joe Williamson Bald Canadian who didn’t play hockey until he was in his mid-thirties. Die hard Raptors fan who proudly admits he wept when they won it all. Loves talking parenting, politics, and all things pop culture.
Luke Combs Helps Tracy Chapman Make History
“Fast Car” is just one of those songs. Every person knows and loves it. There’s a relatability factor to wanting to get away from your problems. It can be sung when you are down and out, starting a road trip, or a few drinks in at the karaoke bar. As a result, it’s been covered countless times, but this most recent time, history was made. 35 years after the original recording it’s back but this time at #1, and on the country charts thanks to Luke Combs.
That Nerd Dad Interviews Charles Adler
Legendary broadcaster Charles Adler is a Hungarian-Canadian writer/broadcaster and political commentator, most noted as a former host of the newsmagazine series Global Sunday and as host of the syndicated radio talk show Charles Adler Tonight on the Global News radio network from 2016 until 2021. Ontario Schools Are Going To Waste Your Childs Time In September
Two years ago nearly every student in Ontario was virtual. It was a bold but necessary step into the modern world brought upon by one of the worst pandemics the human race has ever seen. This September they’ll be learning cursive. Huh? I’ve read essentially the same article on all the major news outlets on this topic and they point to a connection between learning and the act of note-taking. They argue that typing notes is transcribing and not the same as handwriting notes. Which is fine.
Musician Austin Archer Has A Question For Jordan Peterson — Dean Blundell's Sports, News, Podcast Network
If you don’t follow Austin Archer on TikTok, you really should. He’s funny, witty, musical, and not afraid to mix in more than his fair share of political commentary. Today he posted a video that I thought would capture the hearts and minds of the Dean Blundell audience as we’ve been known to talk about Jordan Peterson from time to time. Austin has a very serious question for Jordan.
Opinion: My Whole Family Got Covid and It Sucked! — Dean Blundell's Sports, News, Podcast Network
It took two-and-a-half years but my whole family contracted COVID AT THE SAME TIME! Throughout this pandemic, we remained a cautious family. We masked and socially distanced everywhere we went. We avoided unnecessary trips to public spaces. We took advantage of remote learning for my 6-year-old and, in general, took very few chances when exposing ourselves to this potentially deadly disease.
That Nerd Dad Sits Down With The Dumb Dads — Dean Blundell's Sports, News, Podcast Network
Comedians Kevin Laferriere and Evan Kyle Berger are just a couple of Dads trying to have a little fun along the way. They believe the only way to erase the stigma that Dumb Dads get painted with is to parent harder, not dumber. If you don’t recognize their names you will surely have seen their content as they go viral every week. With over 15 MILLION likes on TikTok, appearances on Ellen and with Kristen Bell they are one of the hardest working, funniest duos in Dadding on the internet.

Happy Birthday Michael Jackson You Dead Bastard! — Dean Blundell's Sports, News, Podcast Network
Happy Birthday Michael Jackson you dead bastard! For those who don’t know TODAY is the famously accused, but never convicted, child molesters’ birthday and boy do I have a viral video for you. @Joeslife_20 on TikTok is an MJ tribute dancer because, despite all the alleged molesting, MJ was one hell of a dancer and Joe here shows us how Michael executed one of his most famous moves.
Opinion: Can We Cool It With All The F*ck Merchandise? — Dean Blundell's Sports, News, Podcast Network
Fuck Trudeau. Fuck Trump. Fuck Biden. Fuck Hilary. Fuck Republicans. Fuck You Doug. I get it. It’s a versatile word that helps get across your message, but I’m tired of the Fuck merchandise (with one exception and that is the “Fuck off, you fuckwads” line which goes to charity) I have no problem with the word “fuck”. It’s the best. I use it all the time, but I don’t own or wear any merchandise with the word because I have a 6yo and 3yo at home and I try to avoid swearing in front of them.
Viral Video: Dad of the Year Nomination — Dean Blundell's Sports, News, Podcast Network
One day ago a Dad account on TikTok who goes by the handle Tut141(no bio) submitted his nomination for what has to be a serious contender for Father of Year! It’s racked up over 11 MILLION VIEWS! It’s captioned “When Mom has to work on Saturday” and judging by the precision in which this move is executed, this is not Mom’s first shift on a Saturday. These two perform with the grace and eloquence of lifelong figure skating partners. It’s beautiful to watch.
Is Going Viral All Just Dumb Luck? — Dean Blundell's Sports, News, Podcast Network
If you are a content creator “going viral” is the ultimate goal. To know that something you created has taken on a life of its own is a reward unlike anything else and trying to go viral has led to many good creators giving up after failing to achieve their dream. So what is the appeal? I think there are a few elements at play here. Firstly, going viral feels adjacent to fame. Knowing that thousands or millions of people have seen your creation feels incredible.
Video: Police Constable Responds to Karen on TikTok — Dean Blundell's Sports, News, Podcast Network
This might be one of my favorite videos in a while. For some reason, the Toronto Police Traffic Unit has its own verified TikTok account and Police Constable Sean Shapiro is the voice of educating the public. Sean’s got a great voice and clearly has a funny streak which is not normally required to be a Police Constable but these traits serve him well in his current role. Five days ago Sean responded to some Karen who thinks stop signs and red lights shouldn’t apply to cyclists.
Drunk Florida Woman Drives Golf Cart On Highway — Dean Blundell's Sports, News, Podcast Network
You gotta hand it to Florida, there is really no place in the world quite like it. The same place that houses Disney aka “The happiest place on earth” also houses Ron Desantis aka Less Crazy Trump. They are also the home of some of the best news stories in the world, which brings us to a Florida woman I’ll call Mabel. Seems old Mabel here couldn’t keep it between the lines and I’m guessing, since she opted to drive a golf cart, this is not her first instance of drinking and driving.
Viral Video: How Much Water Can Fit In A Stretch Armstrong? — Dean Blundell's Sports, News, Podcast Network
The internet is a strange place. From Twitter Trolls to Women who fart for money, there’s a niche for everybody’s interest. Enter @vlogcast, a UK-based creator who likes to take kids’ toys and fill them with water to see what will happen. With 4.3million followers on TikTok and over 96.7million likes, he’s clearly doing something right. So, how much water can a Stretch Armstrong hold? Watch and find out! It’s extremely satisfying.
Can You See the Hidden Messages in Eminem's New Album Cover? — Dean Blundell's Sports, News, Podcast Network
Eminem has been on a heater since he burst onto the scene in 1999. With the exception of a few down years where the rock and roll lifestyle caught up to him and he made the decision to get sober everything he’s put out over the past 23years has been gold. So it might be somewhat surprising that when he announced “Curtain Call 2” it’s only his second greatest hits album. But what got my attention is the album cover.
Elon Musk vs Nick Cannon: Too Many Kids Edition — Dean Blundell's Sports, News, Podcast Network
It seems like every other week news is breaking that either Elon Musk or Nick Cannon is the “proud” father of another child support payment. Both these dudes are going to spend zero quality time with their respective offspring so I hope the Mothers have a strong support system in place because being a single parent is no joke.
Inspired by The United People of Canada, Dean Blundell Is Rebranding — Dean Blundell's Sports, News, Podcast Network
Last week it came to light that an organization calling itself “The United People of Canada” or “Tupac Shakur” AKA “TUPC” had set up shop in an old church in downtown Ottawa. In addition to definitely not having any association with The Freedumb Convoy that took over Ottawa despite some pretty damning evidence to the contrary, they also have a very familiar logo. Our very own Dean Blundell noted that it looks strikingly familiar to the Gondor logo from Lord of the Rings.
VIDEO: The First Trailer for "Mike" the Mike Tyson Story is HERE and OMG! — Dean Blundell's Sports, News, Podcast Network
Love him or hate him Mike Tyson’s impact (pun intended) on society will be felt for generations to come. It seems only fitting that he’d get a biopic that promises to examine the many sides of Mike Tyson. Hulu released the first full trailer for the upcoming movie “Mike” and it hits (pun intended again) all the right notes. It looks exciting, dramatic, depressing, and brutal, just like Mike’s life. But don’t take my word for it. Watch it yourself.
That Nerd Dad Interviews Renee Reina Host of The Mom Room Podcast — Dean Blundell's Sports, News, Podcast Network
This past week I was fortunate enough to chat with Renee Reina host of The Mom Room Podcast. The Mom Room is one of the top parenting podcasts around and Renee’s even-keeled approach to parenting and motherhood is the big reason for her success. She can be silly and charming but also venture into topics that you wouldn’t normally expect. A recent episode is titled “Pad toots & pubic hair”.
Play With Yourself in Public. Introducing the Hasbro Selfie Series. — Dean Blundell's Sports, News, Podcast Network
Finally, you can play with yourself in public without worrying about the police showing up. Hasbro is teaming up with Formlabs to create the “Selfie Series” giving nerds everywhere a chance to create a high-quality six-inch toy featuring their face on some of pop cultures’ most recognizable franchises. You can finally be a Ghostbuster, Power Ranger, Marvel Hero, or G.I. Joe recruit. I love this idea and cannot wait for the general public to screw it up.
The Office LEGO Set Looks Better Than a 14-inch Plasma TV — Dean Blundell's Sports, News, Podcast Network
One of the all-time binge-able TV shows is getting another chance to put its mark on pop culture in the form of a LEGO set. LEGO announced that pre-orders for The Office have begun via Wal-Mart in the U.S. and Canada. The 1,164-piece set will be available October 1st but if I were a betting man this one will be a hot commodity around Christmas time so it’s best to secure it early.
That Nerd Dad Interviews Spy Dad Mubin Shaikh — Dean Blundell's Sports, News, Podcast Network
You’ve seen him on the Dean Blundell Show countless times and he’s honestly the coolest guy any of us know, Mubin Shaikh agreed to talk with me about what it’s like being a spy Dad. With everything he’s seen and experienced how does he turn it off and become your average soccer Dad? Can he turn it off? Do his kids know and understand? I ask him all of this and more in wide-ranging 20min conversation. They really should just replace the Dos Equis guy with Mubin.
Video: The Thor "Love And Thunder" Trailer Is FINALLY Here And It Looks Amazing — Dean Blundell's Sports, News, Podcast Network
FINALLY! You can’t blame Marvel for putting Thor on the back burner with the insane hype of Spiderman and Doctor Strange but let’s not forget some of the best movies to come out of the MCU have been Thor-centric. Chris Hemsworth is just as likeable as he is handsome and despite being the God of Thunder he portrays the character with an aloofness that is hella charming. So this is our first real look at the latest Thor movie and it looks like we’ve got another winner on our hands.
