What was your first job as a journalist?
My current one.
Have you ever used a typewriter?
yes, and an electric typewriter. I am all kinds of old.
How is social media changing news?
social media is skewing traditional journalism by allowing just anybody to claim their own stake as a reporter.

What does it mean to be a journalist?
Being a journalist should mean that you are someone who has built trust with your readership by reporting fairly and honestly. Integrity 1st.

Keep it short and be clear about how we can work together.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
whatever is put in front of me.

They are all generally terrible at the moment. Waiting on one to really break through.

Why did you become a journalist?
It was an opportunity to get my hands on the latest gear and add my voice to the feedback that could improve a whole industry.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
We didn't have a high school newspaper, but I did start a newspaper when I was in grade 6 and was the sports reporter.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
Coverage of Walt Disney World's 50th Anninversary.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
It's better to start somewhere smaller covering what you love than somewhere bigger covering what you hate.
When's the best time to pitch you?
midday.

To come and cover Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary and review Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.

a chinese knockoff of a middling product wanting me to review them and say they are better because they cost less.
