John Bohnenkamp’s Biography

I worked in newspapers for 31 years before my position was eliminated. Since then, I have moved to working for different websites, including two I've created — Bees-Blog.com (covering a Class A Midwest League baseball team that is transitioning this summer to a college wood-bat league) and IowaCollegeHoops.com, covering college basketball in Iowa and in Western Illinois. I have placed in the APSE contest top-10 17 times, along with 7 USBWA honors and 3 FWAA awards.
