John Harvey’s Biography
John Harvey M.D., M.P.H. is the Director of VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System and a Professor at T.H Chan School of Public Health . As an Internal Medicine physician at Boston Healthcare System, I aim to improve healthcare quality and costs through policy-focused research. I earned my M.D. and M.P.H. from Harvard, and completed fellowships at University of California, San Francisco.
Additionally, my position as a Professor at the T.H Chan School of Public Health affords me the opportunity to impart knowledge and mentor the next generation of healthcare leaders. I am deeply passionate about education and believe that investing in future generations is key to driving positive change in our healthcare system. By instilling in students a strong sense of social responsibility and a commitment to evidence-based practice, I hope to empower them to become advocates for health equity and justice.
Throughout my career, I have remained steadfast in my dedication to advancing health policy research and advocacy. Whether through conducting groundbreaking studies, participating in policy discussions, or engaging with community stakeholders, I am constantly seeking ways to drive meaningful change.
